The PsycINFO database covers the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines including human resources, organizational behavior, psychiatry, sociology, education, physiology, linguistics, and other areas.

General Research Article Databases

Academic Search Premier

Provides access to articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers in a wide range of subject areas. Features abstracts and indexes for over 3000 publications and approximately 1700 peer-reviewed journals. Over 1200 publications are available in full text.

ProQuest Research Library

A general database of magazine, journal, and newspaper articles from approximately 2350 publications in a wide variety of subject areas. The database consists of two components: a core list of about 740 periodicals, and 15 subject-specific modules in the areas of Arts, Business, Children, Education, General Interest, Health, Humanities, International, Law, Military, Multicultural, Psychology, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Women’s Interests. Many articles are available in full-text, full image format.

Web of Science

Internet-accessible versions of ISI’s Citation Indexes: Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, and Arts and Humanities Index. Provides the most current index to over 8000 of the world’s leading scholarly research journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts & humanities. Has a unique “cited reference” feature to find articles that have cited a given article. Includes abstracts for many of the articles. Pre-1977 citations can be used as the starting point for citation searches, but there are no displayable records for pre-1977 citations. Although Web of Science is primarily a database of journal citations, “cited materials” may be books, dissertations, government reports, in press articles, or any other material.

The premier business and management database providing extensive coverage of North America and the world. Find research on advertising, marketing, economics, human resources, finance, taxation, computers, and more. Full-text & full image.

Business Source Premier

Provided through EBSCO’s EBSCOhost web search interface. A database of news covering international business, economics, management, operations, finance, and accounting. The database contains full text format for over 740 titles including Business Week, American Banker, Forbes, Fortune, and The Economist.

EndNote and EndNote Web are tools to manage your citations and bibliographies.  It assists with formating article citations into the correct format and it also helps with footnotes within your papers.

EndNote is available from the Union Copy Center for approximately $100.00. This version is best for faculty and PhD students with dozens of journal-specific citation formats.
EndNote Web is available for free.  You must register within the Purdue Library’s Web of Knowledge first!
